New York Television Festival TV pitch contest

Cory Bergman July 19th, 2006

Got a great idea for a TV show, but never thought a network exec would give you the time of day? Well the New York Television Festival is finally giving you that chance! NYTVF has just launched a TV pitch contest. (If anyone doubts the public’s desire to produce and share their own video content, check out the YouTube post below.) Anyone can submit a 1-minute video of themselves pitching their idea for a TV show to NYTVF. Deadline is August 4th. Finalists will get to go before a panel of celebs and TV execs this September to pitch their show. The winner lands an $8,000 development deal to produce a pilot for the Independent Film Channel. What’s your great idea for a TV show?
