Odd… AllAccess.com (radio trade website) reports today that Telvisa is considering a new bid for Univision.
“GROUP TELEVISA EVP ALFONSO DE ANGOITIA told analysts TUESDAY that his company may try a counter bid for UNIVISION despite having lost out to a rival group last month.
DE ANGOITIA said that TELEVISA has “not made a final decision” on whether to offer a new bid to wrest the Spanish-language radio/TV/music company from a group headed by producer HAIM SABAN but added that his company would not join SABAN’s group and its offer to sell its existing stake in UNIVISION “has not changed.” “
