YouTube sued over Denny beating video

In what may be the company’s first lawsuit, YouTube has been sued by Bob Tur, owner of the Los Angeles News Service. Tur is well known in media circles for, well, suing for just about everything when it comes to his precious video of the 1992 LA riots. In this case, the video of the beating of Reginald Denny was posted on YouTube and viewed (gasp!) 1,000 times. Tur alleges that works out to $150,000, and he’s suing under the MGM vs. Grokster umbrella.
