Elizabeth Smart handles Nancy Grace like a pro
Stephen Warley July 20th, 2006
Every once in a while as I channel surf on land on Nancy Grace. I’m not a fan. Elizabeth Smart recently agreed to be on her show to talk about a new sex offender bill she is trying to get passed in Congress. She did not agree to an interview to talk about her abduction. She politely, but coolly answered Grace’s first few questions and then put her in her place. Check out the video for yourself. Bravo Elizabeth for taking the high road when you had every right to let Grace have it. And no, this isn’t a case of being a good journalist. It’s knowing when to stop beating a dead horse and respecting someone’s privacy. Has someone found a cure yet for Grace’s “missing white-girl syndrome”?

No. And as long as the viewers keep ancouraging Cute White Girl stories, Ms. Grace will have a long, muckraking career.
2. Hussman | July 20th, 2006 at 7:19 am
Wow… I’ve never watched Nancy Grace before, and I’m glad. Holy crap…
3. Nick | July 20th, 2006 at 10:21 am
Sure, Nancy shouldn’t have pressed Elizabeth Smart to talk about her abduction. But what Lost Remote has apparently forgotten is that Nancy apologized to her immediately after Elizabeth told her to stop.

Continuing from my first post:
From the transcript:
GRACE: I`m sorry, dear. I thought that you would speak out to other victims. But you know what? I completely understand. A lot of victims don`t want to talk about it and don`t feel like talking about it.

Many people may not like her, but Nancy Grace does some good with her show. She highlights missing people and at-large fugitives in the hopes they may be found. Positive results have come out of that.
5. Stephen Warley | July 20th, 2006 at 10:31 am
Yes, she does help missing people, but typically only white women. There has to be missing black people, Hispanics, even men! What about them?
Actually Nancy didn’t stop right away . . . Here’s the transcript just before that exchange:
ELIZABETH SMART: You know, they did. And I really am here to support the bill and not to go into what — you know, what happened to me, what the whole — like, what is in my past because I`m not here to give an interview on that. I`m here to help push this bill through.
GRACE: And I want you to push the bill through and I want people to hear your voice.
When we take a look back, there`s a shot of Elizabeth Smart, and here she is, four years later. And frankly, it`s a miracle that she was ever found. You know, a lot of people have seen shots of you wearing a burqa. How did you see out of that thing?
ELIZABETH SMART: You know, I`m really not going to talk about this at this time. I mean, that`s something I just don`t even look back at. And I really — I really — to be frankly honest, I really don`t appreciate you bringing all this up.
GRACE: I`m sorry, dear. I thought that you would speak out to other victims. But you know what? I completely understand. A lot of victims don`t want to talk about it and don`t feel like talking about it.

and so condescending…
“oh I’m sorry dear” .
And, “I thought you would like to speak out to other
victums”….. so now it’s the girl’s bad for not helping others.
Eek.
This is a journalism…..I think not.
It’s AM talk-radio on any weekday.

If I told you a few years back that Jon Stewart and Elizabeth Smart would provide to of the more power moments against the tabloidization of news you might have said something like “Yeah right and soon they’ll be giving classless lawyers their own show.”

I’ve never seen Nancy Grace do her thing before either. She sounds like shes whining. Kind of a sing-song cadence to her questions and manner of speaking.
I wouldn’t be able to watch too much of that.
I have to agree with Hussman … “I’ve never watched Nancy Grace before, and I’m glad. Holy crap…”
9. Rik | July 21st, 2006 at 2:20 pm
Pathetic. I can’t believe people watch this crap.
10. Dani | July 23rd, 2006 at 8:00 pm
Nancy Grace does often put the stories and photos of missing people on her show. Not just white people, either. Many children who have been missing are black and hispanic. Sadly, many of these cases she’s put on there have turned out with a sad ending where the child was killed. So I disagree with what people are saying about her just putting white missing kids on her show. She’s also put many cases of missing men and boys.
I’m glad Elizabeth stuck up for herself. She had more class in that interview then Nancy did. Nancy Grace was trying to get a sensational story on Elizabeth’s time with her captors. And her trying to blow it off by saying ‘I thought you were here to speak to other crime victems’ was a crock. I think Nancy lost a lot of credibility with her interview with Elizabeth.

Nancy G.is the most vindictive hate filled person I have ever seen. I find it pitifull too see a human so distorted and vicious, she seems like a wounded animal in a corner. I have tried to watch this program, thinking to see a victim support program only to witness N.G.’s lynch mob mentallity. Nancy Grace is on my list of programs to AVOID.

It made me sick watching Nancy saying to an aunt of JonBenet Ramsey, how angry she is to think about the accusation the late Patsy Ramsey had to endure.
Wasnt Ms Grace the one that had always attacked the poor Ramsey’s parents?
Check the transcript below to see her view back then.

WAKE UP people
Nancy Grace is SLIME.
She is a member of the Eastern Star (A Satanic Women’s offshoot of Freemasonry, or the ’sisterhood of death’)
I have EVERY MINUTE of the CNN Larry King Live coverage from the Elizabeth Smart abduction on video tape.
I will NEVER forget how Nancy Grace repeatedly accused Richard Ricci of being the perpetrator of Elizabeth’s abduction.
That insane evil woman should be in prison!
Well done Elizabeth!
God bless you!
**hugs**

The only reason people don’t like Nancy Grace is because she tells it like it is. If she doesn’t like or agree with something she has the guts to say it. I watch her show every night, and I admire her work in helping to find and flush out all the evil, cruel people getting away with everything from rape to murder.
18. Hattie | November 21st, 2006 at 7:40 pm
There’s a difference between finding evil people and rampantly accusing people of being evil. You’d think the Richard Ricci thing would’ve given the woman pause to consider her misguided life.
19. Lisa | December 9th, 2006 at 10:59 am
Nancy Grace was more entertainig when she was on Larry Kings Guest Panels. He was able to keep her bias opinions to a minimum.
With her own show. She’d be better not to have any guests. As she rarely lets anyone finish a sentence. Her meaningless banter makes one wonder. Is CNN that desparate for ratings? She deserves sleepless nights for brow beating that poor young girl over the disapperance of her young child. If Nancy had kept her BIG MOUTH SHUT.Likely the mystery would of been solved by now.And the young mother would still be ALIVE!
And PLEASE Nancy do something with you Football Helmut Hair-Do.

she kind of reminds me of the witch’s guards on the wizard of oz. im sure her career on CNN will end for the same reason as her career as a prsecutor. reactionary thinking.

Nancy Grace was proven wrong again on Wednesday April 11th after the charges were all dropped against all of the Duke Lacrosse players. Nancy was wrong again on all assertions Nancy has made about this case, and she will be facing more lawsuits against herself for the crimes she committed against the non-convictism victims of this case too. Turns out that Howard Stern of the Anna Nichol case is also going to file another suit against Nancy for her crimes of character-assassinations Nancy did against Stern according to his attorney. Even the attorney of Joran VanderSloot of the Natalee Holloway case has mentioned filing another suit against Nancy as well for the crimes Nancy committed against Joran. Better bring your checkbook Nancy, you are going to have to pay hugely on your continued crimes against non-convicted victims. Perhaps it might be cheaper for Nancy to simply stop victimizing victims.

Remember freedom of speech? When you know what a person represent and their views you avoid them Nancy Grace is Nancy Grace. Sometimes we set ourselves up, especially when we know who we are dealing with. Nancy gives no breaks. God bless Elizabeth Smart for her courage (Choose wisely who you interview with)
Nancy is a tigeress and takes no prisoners

Too bad there are people dead now as a direct or indirect result of Nancy Grace being allowed on the air, even after she continues her crime-spree against more victims.
25. Michelle from Madison | July 17th, 2007 at 7:11 pm
Pat Lalama had to, again, fill in for Nancy Grace on her Tuesday July 17th show while Nancy was again treated “in-patient” in one of her three frequented Psych-Wards. Too bad CNN is not yet required to post the lawsuit-loses against people like Pat and Nancy as a footnote to their credibility. They have collectively been successfully sued for millions and millions of dollars in just the past several years, not counting all the lawsuits against them both that they lost before the more recent years. Even Pat appeared as Nancy often does, on some type of medications, drugs, or alcohol, and Pat was so influenced (or under the influence) tonight that she often had to use her hands to help hold her head up tonight. And, both Pat and Nancy are expecting even more lawsuits to be filed against them both from more non-convicted victims, especially Nancy, for the crimes they documented against themselves, including defamation, slander, and libel, as well as for Nancy other crimes like being a contributing factor in the death of more non-convicted people. My goodness, that is four known visits for Nancy back to one of her Psych Wards in just the last six weeks. Sounds like Nancy is nervous again because of the pending lawsuits against her in both state and federal courts. Perhaps it might just be easier if Nancy were to change her approach and stop victimizing non-convicted victims. That approach alone might help save more lives, and Predator Nancy Grace should continue with her court-ordered psychological treatment plans as directed by her CNN required psychologists and her CNN required psychiatrists. Simply put, no more victims should be harmed by Nancy Grace as a direct or indirect result of Predator Nancy Grace’s documented un-professionalism.

Suggestion to help save the trapped Utah miners.
The Utah mine disaster has turned into a monumental problem to rescue trapped miners. A simple solution to this dilemma: Have CNN mandate Nancy Grace out of her in-patient psych-hospital right now, and place Nancy down in the Utah mine with a lengthy written-script for her to read out-loud. Direct her mouth towards the areas where they need removal of coal, support beams, and timbers, and by having Nancy speak out loud, it will generate enough hot air to help cause the coal and beams to incinerate and disappear, and will then allow passage by some rescue-miners to help finally locate some of the missing miners. Get a court-order if necessary to get Nancy back out of her Houston psych-hospital, and get her mouth finally working for victims for a change. While it would truly be the first time Nancy Grace would have ever affected a positive change for any victim, at least it is a start. Apparently, her doctors have objected thus far to all efforts to have Nancy released early from her psych-ward. But, there remains victims that are in need of some monumental volumes of hot air, and Nancy has proven she can generate that volume of hot-air needed to incinerate everything in her path. Victims lives are at stake, the doctors need to release Nancy right now and have her travel with a doctor to prevent Nancy from drinking herself into another fall like she just did again weeks ago. Nancy really should stop her alcoholic and non-stop drinking, especially if she is pregnant as she claims right now. She certainly comes across as the drunk she actually is.

Nancy Grace pulled off the air, again.
They pulled Nancy Grace off the air again for the taping of her Friday show as they again replaced Nancy with a better host after the story of NIFONG was sentenced to jail today. Which, proved Nancy was wrong on all of her incorrect assertions and allegations made by Nancy on yet another story. Mann, Nancy just cannot seem to stop screwing herself up. Just proves, again, that Nancy just cannot keep her feet out of her own mouth. Sounds like jail might be the best place for Nancy too, for all the crimes of defamation, slander, and her connection to the death of Duckett that Nancy has pending lawsuits against her in both state and federal courts right now. It may just prove to be the right time now to get her off the streets in order to finally take a stance to protect victims from known predators like Predator Nancy Grace.
28. Michelle from Madison | September 12th, 2007 at 12:47 pm
Nancy Grace really screwed up again on her Monday September 10th show. This time, again, she was corrected on some facet of her inaccuracies by every single guest on the show tonight. By every single guest! While this seems alarming to those who remain un-informed about Predator Grace, it just happens to be more of the same-old same-old from this fraud. Who knows, perhaps there will come a day in the future when Nancy can complete the taping of a show without any inaccuracies by her in it. While it has not happened yet, maybe with some strict coaching Nancy may someday actually be able to provide a show with no violations of the Law by her and no harm that she inflicts upon victims of crime. Who knows? It could eventually happen. Most likely though, she will long have been removed from that show before it ever occurs, just like she was fired from Court-TV. Which was just after Court-TV reduced her air-time on two separate occasions all within six weeks. With her continued problems at CNN with her difficulties with her alcoholism, it is highly probable that CNN will revamp the show and replace it with a show that would be seen as credible. Typically, drunks like Nancy do eventually fall from grace. Her having multiple lawsuits against her right now in both state and federal courts may be the indicator where she gets kicked off television completely, just like when she was thrown out of Atlanta years ago and they removed her ability to ever practice Law anymore anywhere within any of the 50 states of the United States. Anyone read if DCF completed their investigation of Predator Grace regarding her twins yet?

30. Michelle from Madison | September 17th, 2007 at 6:21 pm
Nancy Grace “attempted” to cover the story of the O.J. case tonight on Monday September 17th, but Nancy really screwed up, again, big-time. She proved again that she does not possess the capacity to cover any case where she had been proven wrong over and over again. Many people would have suspected that O.J. may have some liability in the charges he may be facing right now. But, after watching Nancy’s coverage of this case, it now appears that O.J. may not be liable for anything in this case, and he may again walk away with little or no penalties. And, apparently with Nancy’s blessing. It is not illegal to retrieve your own property, according to some experts covering this case. They also indicated that O.J. had no knowledge or anyone possessing any firearms when they were all invited into that place. It is very likely that O.J. will not be convicted of the crimes he has been arrested on, and Nancy will be proven wrong again, and this may be the case-coverage where CNN actually takes steps against Nancy to silence herr illegal deformational and slanderous comments. Court-TV has already done that to Predator Grace. By the looks of Nancy tonight, it appears quite clear she will be back into one of her three Psych-wards very soon. For the first time in a long while, Nancy did not appear to be as drunk as she usually is. That, is a good sign for her. Her drunkenness has already resulted in her breaking her foot two times in as many months while at the property of CNN. Check out those websites covering her alcoholic “functioning alcoholic” issues about Nancy, they truly are interesting. One has to wonder what the status of her investigation is at pertaining to the possible removal of the expected twins. Odds right now by some sites are still at 8-to-2 odds against retention by Nancy. The children will have to be saved from this Predator. At least it is being monitored and investigated.

What is the crap about Nancy Grace’s whiteness? she headlines missing black kids and girls right along with whites, personally I am sick of the whole bunch of you,,you’d all bitch if hung with a golden rope.
32. Mary | October 7th, 2007 at 3:20 pm
I look at it this way. If anyone goes on her show to speak, they are the crazy one and not Nancy Grace. They know what they are in for when they go on there and know that she does not hold back at all. Nancy helps alot of victims and she is passionate because of the fact she lost her fiance to murder. Elizabeth knew when she went on there that Nancy was going to ask questions, so why put herself in that position. If she wants to keep her private life out of the public, then just stay home and quit parading yourself in the public like she has been.

Who has Nancy ever actually helped, as you claim there Mary?
34. Michelle from Madison | December 8th, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Late on Saturday night, December 8th, a Fox show named “The Soup” had a segment where they really bashed Nancy for just being Nancy. The worst jab was when the news broadcaster laughed at Nancy for “naturally getting pregnant at age 60.” In all due respect to that show, Nancy is way too old to have kids at this late-stage in her life. Those kids will still be in high-school when Nancy is at the age-of-retirement. That, alone, is child-abuse in and of itself. What a stupid reason for Nancy to have kids just to get a tax-credit. Plus, her name is not legally Nancy Grace anyways. That must be her planned-defense in some of her upcoming lawsuits against her for her for crimes including the documented unprofessional and illegal conduct against a mother of a missing young child. Nancy must plan to say on the stand “You can’t sue me, I am not Nancy Grace, I got married and changed my name. You have the wrong person here.”
35. jbaers1185@hotmail.com | January 16th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
I saw this cool post from Michelle from Madison where she hit the nail on the head in this post. “Not only was Nancy drinking all the time, she was even photographed drinking while she was pregnant, and she even was opening up her Bud Lights while on the air while she was pregnant and doing her show recently. Plus, she took a ton of fertility-medications in order to get pregnant. For someone that old, she’s almost 50, that alone could result in catastrophic complications for those poor little victim-twins. If her alcoholism-problems were not enough, Nancy subjected those twins to the possible complications of those medications, plus her repeated hospital visits were reportedly due to complications consistent with old-mothers, and drug and alcohol abuse. Finally, when the hospital forcibly ripped those twins away from her, it was clearly the signs and symptoms of her documented problems with both drugs and alcohol. Hopefully her file has been sent over to the Prosecutor’s office for review for possible criminal charges.”

Yeah, Nancy screwed up again on that LaFAVE case again tonight. I think Deb should sue Nancy because she would surely win. That would be yet another lost lawsuit sustained against Predator Nancy. Go for the bucks Deb, you will surely win big. Most of all those lawsuits filed against Nancy are paid out and settled to avoid the publicity. “Pinky-promise!”

Lets be straight here… Nancy Grace was attempting to bully, “sweetly coerce” Smart to divulge juicy details. Bill O Reilly could have asked the same questions while in character and his apology, using the same words, would have seemed generous (for him). We don’t like it, and it appears more maniputative because Nancy Grace is playing that “I am really your syrupy sweet gossipy high school cheerleader best friend” bullshit. She completely disregards a persons trauma and possibly real psychological need for privacy as it relates to her victimization, much less her need for a romantic future. Can you imagine… I am a Morman and I want to be with the girl who went on national TV and discussed her sexual abuse with Nancy Grace, who really was insinuating that she was old enough (should have been resourceful enough) to get away. Smart should stay the hell away from Nancy Grace BIll O Reilly type shows if she wants to keep some dignity.
38. Angela Haggert | June 27th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
I read on some website that Nancy Grace was convicted on a high-court misdemeanor and ordered to pay out millions of dollars for her irrational and illegal actions she perpetrated against a distraught mother of a missing child who later committed suicide as a direct result of Nancy’s law violations. CNN and Nancy have worked hard to cover up those facts and it remains some of the reasons why Nancy is never allowed to appear on any television show of CNN without at least one of her Psychologists or Psychiatrists present to help Nancy deal with her documented psychological problems that Nancy says she has to remain on medications for, for the rest of her life. Is that why Nancy can still not be left alone with either of her two children? Is it because of the propensity and potential toxicity of Nancy’s meds, or is it because Nancy may become violatile again and harm the children?
39. Randy Peters | July 2nd, 2008 at 9:37 pm
