Position overview:

This is a new position within our company, helping us produce and coordinate
internal and external communications. The PR and communications manager will
help us inform our broadcast partners, station partners, and employees on
“what’s happening” around the company as well as build awareness and
credibility for Internet Broadcasting among buyers of online advertising,
current and potential TV broadcast partners, and the press.

Job responsibilities:

· Execute and add ideas to company communications and public relations
strategy
· Build strong relationships with key contacts within our company and
regularly communicate with them to understand what’s going on within their
business unit. This includes our content, marketing, national sales, local
sales, business development, IT, production, research, finance, and the
executive teams
· Firmly understand our business and our communication objectives to
properly filter through information to determine what is worthy of
communication and to what audience
· Plan, gather information, write, and coordinate monthly company
newsletter that is distributed to employees, broadcast partner executives,
board members, and TV station partners. This includes entering information
into our proprietary content management system.
· Plan, gather information, write, coordinate, and send company press
releases, story pitches, and case studies to be distributed to the press and
potential advertisers
· Work with PR agency to coordinate interviews and information for
various articles, story pitches, and press releases
· Own and continuously update our corporate web site, www.IBSYS.com
· Set up and coordinate interviews with reporters and our execs and
follow up as appropriate
· Update and produce corporate fact sheets, media kits, and other
collateral to disseminate to the press and the public
· Seek speaking engagements for our executives at relevant trade
events
· Continually track PR executions and clippings
· Continually maintain and update our press database
· Additional responsibilities will be added as necessary as position
develops

Requirements:

· B.A. in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related
field
· 3-5+ years related marketing PR and communications experience
· Must be an exceptional written and oral communicator with mastery of
the A.P. style guide
· Exceptional at building mutually beneficial relationships and
gathering relevant information
· Exceptional at “finding the story” within piles of data and
information
· Experience writing story pitches and press releases and establishing
relationships with the press
· Comprehensive understanding of advertising, sales, research,
branding, and the Internet industry required
· Comprehensive understanding of market research with an ability to
translate numbers into stories to make a compelling pitch to potential
advertisers
· Outstanding relationship building skills with the ability to create
mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external clients
and contacts is critical
· Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and
requests simultaneously
· Hands-on experience with content management systems (CMS) or
demonstrated ability to master complex software/Web publishing systems
· Ability to be a team leader and facilitate brainstorming
· Well organized with a high attention to detail
· Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced, environment, yet keep calm
under pressure
· Self motivated and inspiring
