I do not want to have to pay extra for the NFL Network, because the NFL is now a league that lacks integrity.

During the 2007 season, there has been wide speculation that the NFL has been fixing games in favor of the New England Patriots, particularly the 11-25-07 contest versus the Philadelphia Eagles and the 12-3-07 game against the Baltimore Ravens, so that the NFL can use the Patriots' undefeated season as a bargaining chip during the league's dispute against the cable companies.

To be more specific, the NFL supposedly fixed the Patriots' wins against the Eagles and Ravens so that New England would remain undefeated for its 12-29-07 game versus the New York Giants, a contest originally scheduled to be televised exclusively on the NFL Network.

Furthermore, if the Patriots were to be undefeated prior to their regular-season game against the Giants, then the 12-29-07 contest would mean something so big and very valuable to the point where the NFL reportedly would have a golden opportunity to force cable companies to carry the NFL Network on a very lucrative basis cable tier, therefore forcing the hands of the cable companies.

As it turned out, the Patriots were undefeated going into their regular-season game against the Giants (as the Patriots are unbeaten going into their Super Bowl matchup versus those same Giants), but the NFL caved in by allowing the 12-29-07 Patriots-Giants game to be televised by both CBS and NBC.

The league reportedly, and reluctantly, opted not to limit the 12-29-07 Patriots-Giants game to its NFL Network, because of mounting pressure from both frustrated fans and agitated politicians.

However, the strong possibility that the NFL fixed games (and tainting the Patriots' undefeated regular season) in an attempt to benefit its beloved NFL Network makes me not want to watch the NFL Network, let alone have to pay for it.

Therefore, again, I do not want to pay anything extra for the NFL Network. For reasons already explained, I should NOT HAVE TO pay anything extra for the NFL Network. I support Time Warner Cable's decision not to carry the NFL Network.

And, finally, I would love to see the NFL Network fold sometime in the very-near future, because this is a network that is run by a corrupt and greedy league.

All I want is to be able to actually watch what Football game I want regardless of where I live. I would like to see the NFL Network back on the air or an NFL Field Pass package that we can at least choose to buy if we would like. This excuse about prices going up is a crockhat is the excuse that the same package I have had for four years goes up every so many months anyhow. I pay for all the channels and services but hey at least I get to watch the Browns play! I would rather not watch at all in that case!

I myself am very disappointed that the one team I root for is about to be off our regular basic tw cable. I think this is a disgrace and dishonor to your loyal customers. Prices for regular HBO, Encore are very high its ridiculous for the average persons who live paycheck by paycheck. There is no more loyalty it's about how bad do you want to see to pay for it. It's totally unfair. Very dissatisfied customer.

I blame the NFL for this. They dont care about their fans one bit. All they care about is getting as much money is possible. I dont blame them for wanting to make money, but when it starts hurting the fans, thats when there is a problem. A prime example is how they have an exclusive deal with satellite providers. So if you want to see all the games, you have no choice but to get satellite, which sucks outside of NFL ticket. If they really cared about their fans, they would allow NFL ticket to be available through cable companies also, instead of creating this monopoly. Now they come up with NFL network, which is just another way to take more games away from basic cable and charge up the ass for the NFL network. Just another way the NFL bends over its fans every chance it gets.
