HuffCasting coming with new financing

The Huffington Post has secured $5 million in venture financing, which it will use to expand staff and offer more video content, taking the site out of the pure blog play arena.

it will be interesting to see whether they cannibilze the existing site by morphing to a video-based site, or do they launch another site in which they create additional ad space.
this is something i wonder about on the local level where sites are busting at the seams.
