Viddler to make video moments searchable
Cory Bergman August 9th, 2006
Sure, there are a billion sites (well, not that many, but it feels like it) that allow you to tag, discuss and share video clips, but new startup Viddler is offering the same functionality tied to specific moments within the clips themselves. And of course, it’s all searchable. Viddler is in private beta, but TechCrunch has a good write-up.

the Dalet news suites offer this feature. You can search for words within the audio track of clips. I got to play with it at NAB a few years ago and was expecting tons of false positives, but the technology was amazingly well developed. Worked like a dream. If I could get the budget for it I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Looking forward to seeing how Viddler is able to help. In the interim, I have had very good experience with the http://www.veotag.com offering that has been in production for quite some time. Ran across a very compelling article by industry pundit Guy Kawasaki on the veotag offering. It has received overwhelming positive response from his readership.
