POSITION SUMMARY
Do you have a passion to perfect the online user experience? Do you strive to make things work better? The team responsible for the development of the 10 Disney-owned, ABC local television station websites is looking for a meticulous, seasoned developer to help propel our 10 local television news sites into the future. Our local news sites serve some of the largest markets in the U.S., including: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Toledo, Flint, Fresno, Raleigh-Durham, Philadelphia and Houston.
The Technical Producer (Multi-site Lead) is responsible for ongoing site development, support of multi-site online initiatives and development of client-side technology to improve the experience and interaction of users. This person will interact extensively with our 10 ABC local television stations to troubleshoot and resolve site issues to help ensure we produce the best local online news sites. The Technical Producer (Multi-site Lead) will also participate on multi-disciplinary teams to produce new online products and features to drive growth of the ABC local television online businesses.
As Technical Producer (Multi-site Lead) your primary focus will be to interface with our 10 ABC local television stations to ensure site quality issues and feature requests are addressed in a highly organized and timely manner. You must be able to think creatively, respond quickly to customer needs and possess a keen ability to drive issues to closure. You must have excellent communication and organizational skills with an innate ability to lead, work independently and work on a team.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
· BA/BS degree or equivalent (BA/BS in computer science or related field strongly preferred).
· 2+ years cross-platform web development experience.
· Cross-browser and cross-platform design and testing experience.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in information architecture and/or web development.
· Excellent leadership, communication skills and flawless attention to detail.
· Superior technical, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing technology and trends.
· Demonstrated ability to excel and lead without close supervision.
· A strong sense of drive, ownership, passion and a commitment to the user experience.
· Passion for technology and change in the online environment.
· Deep interest in or knowledge of the television and/or news business a plus!
SPECIFIC SKILLS
Required Skills:
· Expert knowledge of and demonstrated, practical experience with: HTML, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, CSS and web standards (including cross platform differences), AJAX (a plus).
· Demonstrated, practical experience with one or more scripting languages: JSP, ASP, PHP, etc.
· Web development best practices.
Preferred Skills:
· Software test experience.
· Extensive experience with one or more content management systems.
· Extensive customer- or service-oriented experience.
· Advanced PhotoShop and/or Illustrator experience.
· Advanced Flash (front- and back-end) experience.
· User interface design interest and/or experience.
