Poll: Teens say local TV best source of news

Teens and young adults polled the by Los Angeles Times and Bloomberg said they consider local TV the “best” source of news. Believe it or not, the internet is way down the list behind friends and family, school, network TV news and even MTV. “We kind of expected the internet to show up higher,” says Jill Darling Richardson, deputy director of Los Angeles Times polls. Of course, newspapers aren’t in the mix at all. And the strong showing by friends and family underlines the simple point that social news (social networking + news) is tremendously important.
