About The Opportunity: Come and join the talented and dynamic team driving the premiere online destination informing, supporting and connecting women on the web. Purpose of the Job: iVillage’s Pregnancy & Parenting Channel is seeking a talented, creative and energetic Producer, passionate about developing engaging online content and tools, to contribute to the development and success of the channel. (Note the focus is editorial).
Essential Responsibilities: -Develop editorial and feature packages -Assign, adapt, write and edit new content -Work with channel editorial supervisors on conceptualizing, scheduling and developing content programming and tools -Utilize project management skills to oversee editorial projects from conception through development, including working with design and technical staff. -Write promotional copy and newsletters -Develop and manage relationships with content partners -Develop and manage relationships with experts, authors and book publishers -Propose and organize development of new tools and interactivity
Basic Qualifications: Min 2 years experience with interactive and content-based websites Min 1 years experience in either the traditional or online parenting publishing space. Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum 1 year experience in writing or editing. Desired: *Applicants should have a passion for the web in general, understand how women use the web to find information, social networking and support, and have a strong interest in subjects covered on iVillage. *Applicant should have strong organizational skills, be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, and be able to take direction well and provide self-direction. Must be a motivated team player. Working knowledge of HTML and web-based content management systems preferred.
