Position: Media Relations Assistant

Location: New York

Responsibilities:

FOX News Channel seeks a Media Relations Assistant. Duties include but are not limited to:

· Perform all administrative and secretarial duties

· Handle appointments, expense reports, correspondence, meeting preparations in addition to coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, follow-up, filing, answering phones and setting up conference calls

· Interact with professional associates and all levels of management both internally and externally

· Some interaction with the media

· Assist department with special projects as needed

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Internship in media relations field preferred

· Strong interest in media and current events

· Professional demeanor and top notch administrative skills

· Must be able to meet deadlines, be results oriented, and thrive in a fast paced environment

· Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet research skills

· Individual must be well-spoken with excellent communication and organizational skills

· Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle high levels of confidentiality
