PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Create and edit multimedia content for the Edward R. Murrow
award-winning CBS2chicago.com by working closely with the newsroom
and programming departments.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Work with the producers of evening newscasts to produce content
for the website, based on the on-air products.

• Develop online components that compliment the stories and
features aired on CBS 2 News.

• Identify and create unique web content with high journalistic
standards.

• Work on tight deadlines during breaking news situations.

• Available to work in field reporting/producing special events for
the website

• Assist in producing daily online newscast.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Position reports to Web Manager.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Position will be primarily weekday evening hours

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous Web Experience Expected

• Print/Wire News Writing Experience Preferred

• Television Producer Experience A Plus

• College Degree Preferred

• Microsoft Word Proficiency

• Adobe Photoshop Understanding
