I have to say I’m interested in seeing the show, and it has nothing to do with my politics. I don’t really care about the partisan B.S. - a good movie’s a good movie, and a crappy one isn’t worth anyone’s time.

If you read the description of the movie, it’s not so much about the “assassination” as it is about what might ensue after. It’s not so much “Killing George Bush” as a “What If” scenario.

I said that the MoveOn.org audience would find the depiction of his death gratifying, not his actual death. And I think if you mosied on over there and read the typical commentary, it would be difficult for you to dispute. So Jason, when you say “anyone who enjoys..this..is seriously screwed up”, I can’t disagree with your assessment.

Eric, get out of your partisan box. You don’t have to be an administartion lackey to be turned off by the angry left. If the Democrats ever figure this out, they might actually win something.

My position would have been the same had this come out in 1998 and featured Bill Clinton…just substitute “Christian right” for “MoveOn.org set” in my original post.

Ok, that’s just stupid. Do you really think that the left would find Bush’s death ‘gratifying?’ They might hate him with all their energy, but anyone who enjoys the death of someone else is seriously screwed up, regardless of politics. And I mean, it’s not as if Republican commentators never wish for the deaths of political opponents, as well.

That comment strikes me as cynical and crass to the extreme. Is that really the point that we, as a country are at?
