I watch WCBS weather because I love John Bolaris. If I wanted to watch The Weather Channel forcast I'd pull it up online or watch in on The Weather Channel. I think this was a horrible decision. I want Johnny B's forcast!

I think this is feeding the beast. Bad for WCBS in the long haul; harmful to local tv as an industry.

Atlanta's WXIA did this for a while until the NBC Weather Plus deal came along. The problem is that no one really knows the Weather Channel anchor talent the same way they know local talent. So it just seemed to be the local anchor interviewing weather channel talent about the weather. Also, did it ruin the credibility of the local weather anchors? Probably not but it makes you wonder why you'd need to do that..
