WLS-TV, Chicago’s number 1 station, is expanding its dynamic Web
department with an opening for a new Executive Producer of Online
Operations. The right candidate will be a vital link between
Chicago’s number 1 News team and the growing digital media
platforms of ABC 7 Chicago. This position requires significant TV
newsroom experience, solid news judgment, excellent writing skills,
and the ability to work in a high pressure environment. It also
requires a strong grasp of TV news operations, HTML, the ability to
create basic Web graphics, and an understanding of other Web tools
like FTP and digital video. Schedule will include working nights,
weekends, and holidays. This is not a design job, and those without
significant TV newsroom and writing experience will not be
considered.
