‘The Simpsons’ sneak peek on MySpace, IGN
Cory Bergman September 8th, 2006
One of the big upsides of News Corp’s acquisition of MySpace and IGN is the ability to promote Fox TV shows to key younger audiences. Fox is taking full advantage of the relationship with a blow-out promotion for this Sunday’s season premiere of The Simpsons. Not only do they take over the MySpace home page — very expensive real estate — but you can watch the first 7 minutes of the show, sponsored by Burger King. The same preview is available over on Fox.com, and there are other promotions underway on FoxSports.com on MSN, AskMen.com and RottenTomatoes.com.
