Liveblog: WKRN Bloggers’ Conference

Your less-than-humble correspondent is in Nashville today liveblogging a meetup put together by WKRN, the forward-thinking ABC affil. Mike Sechrist, the station GM, has invited area bloggers to come and chat. It’s the third such gathering he has put together. It’s an inspired idea. So many stations fear bloggers: “What if they write something bad about us?” Sechrist understands the community of news concept, and has invited people into the conversation. his blog roll is chock full of some familiar names. why not check it out for yourself?
safran, you would do all your male readers a favor by making sure to run into one who calls herself “steph in the city”.

this is a great idea. too many stations fear the public and their use of the internet when talking about said stations. kudos to one of the good guys for allowing fans to be just that.
