Fox to stream more shows

The first few episodes of Justice, ‘Til Death and Happy Hour will be streamed on Fox.com, Google Video, IGN.com, TVGuide.com and dozens more partner sites.

    I don’t know how these streams are doing for the “big boys,” but for us, “Vanished” and “Prison Break” both did extremely well, and “‘Til Death” and “Happy Hour” seem to be popular, albeit not as much as the dramas.

    Unlike the other broadcast networks, Fox’s model seems to be less about driving everyone to their website and more about getting the episodes out in front of as many eyeballs as possible.

    It seems like a much smarter play than, for instance, a deal that gives exclusive streaming rights to Yahoo or AOL.

    But even with video in general Fox is way ahead of the competition when it comes to sharing. They offer probably more than a dozen clips a week to us, and that’s about a dozen more than most of their competition.
