Cingular Wireless has been dipping a toe into VOD advertising, and so far it’s finding promising results. In the first two months of a big VOD ad campaign, the company got more than 17 million views. They were even overdelivered by 36%. Although the numbers are small by TV standards, the company says it’s impressed. “We are very bullish on the growth of VOD. VOD is still a small portion of Cingular’s advertising budget, but it has a “big-time future,” said Vance Overbey, executive director of advertising for Cingular.
