Online Classified Manager, Columbus Dispatch

The Columbus Dispatch, the major metropolitan daily in Ohio’s
capital, seeks a full-time Online Classified Product Manager. This
position is responsible for the overall quality and day-to-day
operation of the Dispatch Classified online products including
DispatchClassifieds.com, ColumbusJobs.com, ColumbusCars.com and
ColumbusRealEstate.com.

Responsibilities include: aligning these sites with the business,
marketing, operational, design and content goals of Dispatch Digital
and the Dispatch Classified Advertising Department; vendor analysis;
interaction with technical staff toward project completion; managing
user experience and customer support; and assuring viable business
models for classified online solutions. Work is performed in response
to sales and other business objectives.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as
advertising, marketing or business, along with three years’
experience in an online business environment. Must have project
management experience, preferably in the technical arena. Strong
understanding of information systems process. Must be familiar with
online technologies and applications such as Photoshop, HTML/XML and
FTP, as well as Microsoft Office products. Background in
advertising, particularly Classified advertising, is helpful.
