Senior Online Producer, MTV Networks

The-N.com is looking for a highly accomplished, intelligent, creative
online producer to join our team and help us continue to be a leader
in digital innovation within MTVN. Experience in the social
networking, broadband video, and/or user-generated content arenas is
a big plus. You would be responsible for executing strategies that
increase site traffic and user loyalty. We’re looking for a proven
leader, with demonstrated production expertise and experience in
creating exciting, innovative digital content, and who shares our
passion for the possibilities of a post-broadcast world, in which
users serve users as content creators rather than just passive
consumers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee mission-critical projects for the-n.com, guiding them
from conception to completion, working with outside vendors to
deliver on time, on budget, and to spec – 70 %

• Help develop, institute, and oversee a formal production and
project management process - 15%

• Contribute to the strategic planning and overall direction of
the-n.com and The N’s other digital properties. – 10%

• Work with Promotions Marketing group to support and integrate
their online initiatives – 5%

JOB SKILLS:

• Online savvy – must be thoroughly familiar with the online
landscape and culture; must know what’s out there, what works, what
doesn’t.

• Organization – must be highly organized, and able to document
and report on each phase of development

• Communication – Extensive communication both outside and within
the company – effective communication of product concepts, goals,
etc is essential

• Design sense – Art/design will be directed by the Art &
Creative staff, but a basic appreciation for and understanding of
design is critical

• User Interface/Interface Architecture design skills &
understanding

• High-level technical knowledge – doesn’t need to be able to
code it, but should be able to look at a site or web application and
understand how it could work at a basic level.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years online producing, project management, or information
architecture
