Sure, Tina Fey has always attracted the affection of the blogosphere, but her blogging performance tonight has elevated her to a new level of geek stardom. Fey’s new sitcom 30 Rock premiered last night on NBC, and she live-blogged through the premiere, answering questions left and right from the hundreds of comments (some of which were people who said they want to marry her). “I felt weird the last two days, because it’s not a live show. I actually have to sit back and watch it like everybody else. It’s just such a weird feeling compared to SNL,” she wrote. Fey explained the whole Rachel Dratch casting thing, revealed she’s working on a new movie, said there will be upcoming cameos from SNLers, asked GE for a new dryer and said she hopes the show will be on iTunes soon. Yep, she’s on my list. (It’s OK, Kate knows.)

I also find Ms Fey hot (insert my Paris Hilton icon, here) and I missed the liveblog, but now that you’ve pointed me toward the archive, I find the way it’s structured into threads a little difficult to read. Also, the auto-refresh that’s still going hours after the liveblog has ended and the way it refreshes back to the first page, regardless of what comment thread you are currently reading makes it so incredibly difficult, I’m going to have to wait until they turn this “feature” off to delve further into the posts..

I watched the show, but didn’t know about the liveblog. If I did, I would’ve actually watched the show in real time (as opposed to utilizing my DVR), so that I could have participated.

This actually seems like a pretty cool idea. Reminds me of the chat rooms used to see on AOL with real time questions and comments to a TV or film star.
Do you think this kind of interactivity would attract more viewers to shows, or just attract some of the existing viewers to the web to ask their favorite stars questions?
