With budgets in some games reaching $10 million or more, this will give developers a way to offset costs without breaking their company should a title fail. Fail meaning that it does not recoup dev costs plus a healthy return. In fact, many games would do very well with this model (sports & racing games) but others might not so well (fantasy games, games not set on Earth/present time). Those types of games will be a real challenge to develop advertisting for. Sounds like a great idea!
