Real-time Results, Expert Analysis, View into Blogosphere Provide Users with Unique Online Video Experience
Taking advantage of CNN’s extensive newsgathering resources and the expertise of the “Best Political Team on Television,” CNN Pipeline will offer the most extensive video coverage of Election Day for the online user. Coverage includes real-time results, analysis from top political experts, speeches from around the nation and commentary from top bloggers attending the “CNN E-lection Nite Blog Party.”
For Election Day, CNN Pipeline breaks from its 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. schedule to offer wall-to-wall election coverage until the balance of power in the U.S. House and Senate is decided. Anchors Veronica De La Cruz, Nicole Lapin and Richard Lui will provide continuous updates through the day and live, real-time election results in the evening as polls close across the nation.
CNN correspondents and analysts of the “Best Political Team on Television” will provide commentary and live reactions throughout the day and into the night. Additionally, Glenn Beck, who hosts the program Glenn Beck on Headline News, will appear live on CNN Pipeline periodically throughout Election Night as he comments about the election from his radio studio.
CNN Pipeline also will run many victory and concession speeches from candidates across the country live in their entirety. Select taped segments from these speeches will be available for on-demand viewing on CNN Pipeline and CNN.com Free Video.
In addition, CNN’s Internet reporters Jacki Schechner and Abbi Tatton will host the first “CNN E-lection Nite Blog Party” at Tryst, a Washington, D.C. hotspot for young politicos. The party will gather many of the top political bloggers from across the country to blog together. Reports from Schechner and Tatton, as well as analysis from some of the attending bloggers, will appear live on CNN Pipeline and in segments for CNN/U.S.
CNN Pipeline, made generally available to the public in early December 2005, is an on-demand broadband video service designed to revolutionize the way people view news online. CNN Pipeline offers an unrivaled news experience by putting users in control of multiple live video streams, CNN’s video archives and on-demand news clips from CNN’s unmatched newsgathering operation around the world.

pssst! detroit…
I’ve been a subscriber from day one, have written about it and often sing its praises. That’s why it’s with a little concern that I note on today, the free day, one of the pipes is carrying a silent shot from a stationary camera of a boat being pulled from the mud.
