Internet Director - Successful candidate will be a hands-on web
journalist and producer who compiles, writes, edits copy, graphics
and video for the web. Our ID is responsible for page layout, timely
updates including breaking news, daily outbound emails, streaming
video updates and other ancillary applications. Job responsibilities
also include attending daily news meetings, coordinating
contributions from the news and weather staff, and general
multi-tasking on the news assignment desk. The ID will also assist
the sales and marketing departments by posting advertisements and
promotional content on the station’s website and contribute an
on-air web-segment daily in KPLC Midday Show.

Candidates should have strong computer skills including considerable
knowledge of both software and hardware applications. Knowledge in
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator a must, and be familiar with HTML and
XML, and a content management system like WorldNow. Candidate must
be interested in Internet Journalism/Websites and knowledge of print
and broadcast newsroom standards and styles a plus.
