Position Summary:
The Photographer is responsible for videotaping various news events and editing tape for daily news broadcasts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 Functions as staff photographer, creatively shooting and editing video of daily general assignments and spot news stories.
 Effectively use existing technology to enhance story coverage.
 Operate ENG Van and microwave equipment.
 Other duties as assigned (i.e. performing studio camera work when needed, taking direction and implementing any changes as required by supervisors)

Minimum Qualifications – All must be met to be considered.
High school graduate or GED required. College degree preferred. Video photography courses or seminars a plus. Three years experience in all phases of news photography and editing. Understanding of technological aspects of television news gathering.

Skills and Abilities
 Superior skills of video photography and editing.
 Must be able to shoot video with speed, efficiency, and creativity.
 Must be able to edit video on both linear and non-linear systems
 Must be able to produce high quality news stories.
 Must be able to maintain all assigned equipment in excellent working condition.
 Must be willing to work shifts as assigned.
 Must have a valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s license.
