  I’m just sick of people being so self-righteous. Not that what Richards said was ok or inoffensive, but I’m sick of people using his situation (and other controversial situations) to make themselves feel like they’re more “tolerant” or “better”.

  If that language truly offends you, then start protesting 50 Cent and Chappelle as well. Did Richards’ f bombs offend you? Why do you pick and choose what’s “despicable”? Did he drop the Lord’s name in vain? I bet some religious people were offended. What about the fact that he just flew off the handle in general? Isn’t his over-reaction dispicable?

  If he didn’t say the racist stuff, but still went into the profanity-laced rage would anybody care? Probably not, even though it’s still wrong behavior.

  One thing I’ve wondered about … Richards did this on a Friday (complete aside, but ironic that he got his start on “Fridays”).

  He performed again on Saturday.

  It was only after the media storm started, launched by this citizen journalism uploaded to the Web, that Laugh Factory announced that Richards was being banned from the club.

  Again, he was caught on Friday, performed on Saturday … banned only after, the tape surfaced.

  We live in a very small world. Becomming smaller by
  the hour, we all must make an effort to live in some
  type of peace in this tiny space. We also are far too
  sensitive, and not secure enough in our own skins to
  let some things slide. Yes, Michael had a tirade, but
  at the end one could see he didn’t know what was going on. He appeared to have been hit with a few
  moments of rage which left him as upset as the people
  in the audience. Please everyone take a minute.

  It’s important to note that Michael Richards is not a standup comic and was likely far out of his depth. I’ve had the squirmy feeling of watching someone known for being funny attempt standup, falsely assuming the two things are related. Once the heckling starts, that person is in such an internal panic, he’ll do just about anything to make it stop.

  I don’t think anyone sensible can assume Michael Richards is a racist for basically making an ass of himself by “nutting up” in response to rude audience members. And I agree with the blogger who described his personality as manic, which can lead to unexpected and inappropriate reactions to stress-inducing situations.

  For Richards’ sake, I hope his apology is widely accepted, though I suspect people who insist it’s insincere are less offended than they are concerned with political correctness. They’re the same sort who pretended to believe Trent Lott’s cheesy comments at an old man’s birthday party were a subliminal wish for segregation. They’re lying to themselves for motives unrelated to the issue at hand.

  It speaks volumes, too, that Richards apologized without the pomp and circumstance of a prepared speech. He’s obviously distraught over the incident and I hope it fades from memory before the civil rights extortionists start asking him to prove the content of his character by parting with the content of his bank account.

  I absolutely agree that stories like these make for “easy outrage.” I have little use for that.

  At the same time, those who think he’s getting a bad rap because he used “the N word” on stage are missing the point, and missing it badly. This was not part of his routine. It wasn’t improv, and it wasn’t comedy. This wasn’t a “Yo! Wassup mah brothas!” moment. He called Black people in the audience “niggers.” As an insult. Out of anger.

  Whoah.

  And yes, it’s OK for members of a group to self-depricate each other. We’ve done it all along. So get used to that fact of life. This is not a double standard. It’s a standard.

  Richards is not a racist. He said something stupid and outrageous, spur of the moment, thinking (or perhaps not thinking) it would be shocking and might get a life. Maybe he was channeling Lenny Bruce. It didn’t work.

  We shouldn’t make ourselves feel better by this example. We should feel a whole lot worse.

  I have a set of Seinfeld DVD’s which show outakes in which other actors “break character” and Richards gets visibly upset…he even says that Julia L Dreyfuss should “get hit with a two-by-four!” This recent out-burst was bound to happen. Richards is not a racist, he is in fact such a perfectionist, that in his mind, the hecklers commited an unforgivable sin…..they made him “lose focus” and subsequently bore the brunt of his tirade. His purpose I believe was to insult the people (in the worst way possible) who were messing with his craft.

  Hey everyone! I just wanted to announce that poster Steve (not Safran) ISN’T a racist and is very tolerant based on the fact that he can’t forgive a human being for his sinful and insulting shortcoming. We need more self-righteous, pretensious people like him in this nation because they’re perfect and never make mistakes. I bet he’s never stereotyped anyone in his life.

  I’m also very glad that you brought Hitler into this discussion, Steve, because it’s the perfect analogy for this situation.
  It’s totally apples and apples: Hating and killing millions of Jews versus verbally offending black people during an angry outburst. It’s essentially the same thing.

  This is for Beverly, Eddie Boy & Steve…I find you guys amazing people to actually write things like that….But on the topic, I would like to write a few things about this ordeal:

  (1) He shouldn’t have said it.

  (2) He didn’t know how to react to the hecklers. When your doing comedy, everyone knows, there are good crowds and there are bad crowds, in which you have to take the bad with the good and vice-versa.

  (3) From the comments I read on this site, to the words spoken by Michael, Mel and many others in America, we are on the brink of having another civil war within our own country.

  So if people really want another civil war, the only winners
  will be the super rich, regardless if your white or black,
  the true prejudice comes from rich and poor, with no such
  thing as middle class.

  Middle class is a myth. Middle class is considered poor.
  Thats the republican way. Therefore, keep up the racist comments and we’ll all watch this place burn.

  I think many have lost sight of what really took place at the comedy club where Richards lost his temper.
  First, He went there with one purpose in mind….. To make a living.
  The hecklers also went with one purpose……. To torment someone and try to reap the large quantities of money that comes from this sort of thing.
  I find that as evil as racisim.
  If any of us goes to anothers place of employment for the above purpose, we would at best be asked to leave. Maybe even arrested.
  So I find the hecklers were not treated like everyone else. Wonder why……. Can only imagine.
  When the hecklers entered that room and began tormenting Michael Richards, They should have been ready for whatever he was going to throw at them.
  Right? That depends just what you find humorous.
  All I’m trying to say here is don’t twist a situation into racisim that has no history with Michael Richards when all he was trying to do is make a living.

  Who cares what he said? That’s not the issue at all…if you find him offensive, don’t patronize his work. It may be newsworthy to discover some TV icon has a racial bias. Maybe not. But that is still not the issue. Did he threaten anyone? Did he commit assault? Did he incite others to do so? I don’t believe so. Is he guilty of “crimespeak”? Or just of being too sensitive himself and having crappy self control?
  The issue is this…that this shameless hypocritical society breeds “toughs’ whose feelings are so hurt by words they hear others say a thousand timesa day (and I have no doubt, have on many occasions payed to hear others utter) that they have the gall to hire a lawyer, will work up some faux outrage, make the rounds on TV to parade their hurt feelings…all for the sake of a few bucks.   Why are the news media and African Americans crucifing Michael Richards for using the same “N” word that African American comics, such as Richard Pryor and Chris Rock, among others, have been using for years to get laughs and big fat paychecks? Even Andrew Dice Clay has used the “N” word in his comedy acts that had black and white people roaring in their seats with no back lash from the media. The highly paid Rappers, the drug dealers and the gang bangers have been using the “N” word also.with no back lash either.

  Too many people would fall for temptation and do anything they thought pleased the gods and help them improve their chances to get in. Perhaps they are deceived by “made guys”, clones who strategically ply evil for the throne (celebrities, BofD/CEO/VPs, politicians, as opposed to VIP clones or normal clones who are decent, live ordinary lives and get out on their own or are replaced when their REAL children ascend) or “ringers” who are the few favored clones among many disfavored reals included to disceive the masses of disfavored, temporary progress designed to mislead them or empty favors used to disceive them. Some people think they’re partners or friends. Others desire to “belong”, feel compelled to “go along”. People may experience “perceived pressure”, where the gods think through the victim that a certain behavior is expected/desirable or telepathically stimulate an individual euphorically (”magic”), the “fuel” of disfunction (addiction (the crack epidemic), the desire for homosexual contact, etc.) and compel the individual into the deed. (Set a goal of empathy and compassion for all, for we are all disfavored::::Other people’s disfavor is manifested in their particular way, just as your disfavfor is manifested in your particular way. The gods may use Artificial Intelligence to act through the disfavored victim, and effectively “push” the individual into the offending behavior (It is far better for someone to be victimized and pushed into the behavior than it is to sccumb to temptation and volunteer.). The Counsel/Management Team may instruct Artificial Intelligence to disceive disfavored individuals into thinking they are “earning” by being evil and have the little people prey on each other, utilizing peer pressure, etc.
  Being evil hurts 99.99% of those who do it. It only helps “made guys” that I spoke of above, and even then there are tactics the gods utilize to minimize their time.

  They have tried to sell people on many different theories to deceive them into temptation, compelling people to think they are clones and that it is the role of clones to obey absolutely. Clones are made, people are born. I suspect they lie to some disfavored about the use of clones throughout human history, perhaps suggest that it is one replacement and then the label of “clone” and all decendants we see thereafter are considered clones.
  When a clone has a child that person is a real, really conceived, really born, versus the parent who was created some other way (a laboratory setting?).   You’re not a clone. This is a tactic they use to disceive the disfavored. The state of your family will suggest level of (dis)favor and tell whether ascention is a realistic possibility; there are many levels of disfavor and the clues they offer to the unaware can be very subtle.
  Favor is necessary for children to ascend (parents ascend with their young (10).). Due to their disfavored these children will have to incurr SOME evil before they ascend (via Halloween or Christmas), an important dynamic necessary to justify limiting the time they are to receive, for they are disfavored and the gods don’t want them to stay for long.
  I believe people who go are sometimes replaced with clones. Clones who are replaced are simply new candidates who have a chance if they do the right thing JUST LIKE REALS WHO ARE BORN which is why the gods EMPLOY SIMILAR TACTICS TO COMPEL THEM TO INCURR EVIL!!! They need to discover their humanity, for the gods instruct Artificial Intelligence to employ evil-incurring, time-limiting tactics on them as well.   They sent people warnings in the latter half of the 20th century life would change, and they subsequently began to alter people’s DNA, make them gargantuan, alter their appearance, do extreme behavioral issues, etc. Contrary to what they would like people to believe these signs of disfavor do not indicate someone is a clone. Due to the plethora of temptations in the 20th century I suspect many became disfavored when their (great) grandfathers sccumbed to temptation or volunteered to sacrifice their descendants, thinking because it was their clone it meant disposability.
  The gods get the favored out as soon as possible to protect them from the corruption, evil and subsequent time limitations incurred by living life on earth, and in some cases replace them with clones, occassionally fake a death, real death with a (new) clone instead, etc. I suspect they get “made guys” out after each significant event in their life, which serves to limit the time they all will get, since none get credit (blame) for all the events in a “made guy”’s life, giving the gods freedom to position this and come off clean.

  Of course there could be other strategies employed, like asking for volunteers/assigning people to participate in clone rotation and been their brain into a clone host designated as the clone who will age and die, or as they suggested use a clone WITHOUT A BRAIN IN THE CRANIAL CAVITY, the ultimate in disposability.

  Do I think the disfavored are clones? I think they have been utilizing clones throughout human history.   You are the disfavored, and this is where your children have to live. They will not save everybody in the end.   People who drive incurr evil and limit the time they receive because of the negative impacts on the enviornment. Truckers drive for a living (letting your truck idle for an extended period of time as so many of you do HURTS YOU BADLY!!!).
  Also they share money may not be an issue up there, that money here is merely a tool for corruption. How the gods created an evil, ruthless environment in the 1980s with the temptation of greed and a “do anything to get ahead” mentality supports this. So was the late 90s increase in the stock market, a deliberate attempt to distract the disfavored, for they were analyzing day trading instead of fixing their problems at the dusk of the 20th century. And to add insult to injury the gods had many disfavoreds lose their accumulated wealth investing in redwhite&blue Enron before its scripted collapse.)
  In centuries past the females may have heeded this call en masse and it may have been the reason so many were saved from childbirth here on earth. They said the experience they give to girls today is painful, they inflict emotionally when it ocurrs so as to repel them from pursuing the calling, then or in the future.
  To be god-fearing is very healthy.
  The pain and hurt you experience can be your salvation. Never turn away from it. This awareness of your vulnerability is your advantage, and why women do so much better then men.
  I recommend you reflect on this experience, and pray for guidance, for then the recall may be stronger. Being female is an advantage. Because of a female’s nature they have the favor of the gods and this experience you had years ago can help you find the path and help you continue to be devoted. Also reflection can provide “flashes” whereby the gods grant moments of clarity:::What they tell you is deception; these “flashes are the truth. Heed these flashes for they illustrate that you are going the wrong way.

  The Old Testiment is a tool they used to impart wisdom to the people (except people have no freewill). For example, the gods warned us temptation would be used to test people. Also they must be some hominid species because they claim they made our bodies in their image. Anyhow we defile or deform the body will hurt our chance of going.
  They say circumcision costs people anywhere from 12%-15%, perhaps out of the parent’s time as well. There is a stigma associated with circumcision::We are 2nd class citizens because of it.
  Another way people foul the body today is with tattoes and piercing. I suspect both are about the same percentage as circumcision. They suggest abortion is fatal. Those women who have obtained an abortion must beg the gods to forgive them for their evil. And understanding the procedure (drilling a hole in the skull, scrambling the brains and sucking them out with a vacuum) amplifies the evil incurred. Those on whom this method is used are particularly disfavored for it hurts these women very, very badly::::Being a mid- and late-term procedure, they think through the disfavored, forcing these women to grapple over the decision, waiting until this method is necessary and compelling them into incurring more evil than the otherwise would have.   People must defy when asked to engage in evil. The Holocaust taught people the importance of defiance::our great grandparents should have defied when telepathically asked to ignore the Holocaust and instead reacted with outrage.   You need to pray, honor and respect them multiple times every day to improve your relationship with the gods. If they tell you not to pray it is a bad sign. It means they’ve made their decision, they don’t want you to go and they don’t want to reconsider. You may have achieved a threshold of evil. This is the Age of the Disfavored and you need to pray:::::Attone for the things you’ve done wrong. Try to appease the gods by doing good deeds and improve the world around you. Focus on becoming “Christ-like”. Apply yourself to your children for I think this is the single best way for adults to try to redeem themselves in the eyes of the gods. Hopefully you can reearn enough favor to be allowed to pray. Otherwise you need to defy if you are to repair your relationship with the gods and give yourself a chance at significant time, not just a handful of decades.

  Some people prefer to view their relationship as if they were subjects who answer to royalty. If you are on Planet Earth then you are in trouble, you are either a memeber of a very disfavored blood line or they continually reincarnate you (population explosions of last 100 years suggests fresh new people). I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you view them AS GODS. They have the power of gods and they will live forever.

PLUS your level of priveledge will be much lower than had you repaired your relationship with the gods appropriately. Each one of us has a relationship with them and you need to fix your relationship with the gods. You need to SAVE YOURSELF by improving YOUR RELATIONSHIP with them.
