FOXNews.com is looking for a Senior Video Application Developer to
lead development of our video related projects including maintenance
of our consumer-facing media player and creation and deployment of
video syndication feeds and rules based web services engines intended
to expand the reach of our video content. This role requires excellent
communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced
environment. This position will report to the Manager of Application
Development within the Web Technology group.
Responsibilities
-Provide technical analysis and architect solutions for video
initiatives
-Lead development and coordinate other resources including Interactive
Developers and Ad Technology Developers to follow through on
architected plans
-Work closely with stakeholders in the web video-programming unit to
understand their needs and strategy and design solutions accordingly
-Work closely with web engineering team to develop web services
solutions for syndication initiatives
Requirements
·Expert knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT
·Experience with J2EE, JSP, JSF, and EJB
·Knowledge of Flash and Web Video Technologies
·Knowledge of JBoss Application Server a plus
·Experience with BPM a plus
·Understanding of common web security vulnerabilities and
exploitations
·Understanding of common Project Management methodologies and the
Software Development Lifecycle
·Experience working with 3rd party technology vendors
·BA Degree or equivalent experience
