Job Description
NYTimes.com, the #1 newspaper site on the Web (Nielsen/NetRatings) and winner of Best News Site awards in 2005, 2004, 2003 (Editor & Publisher) is seeking a Videojournalist to join our team.

The videojournalist will be responsible for producing video segments for NYTimes.com.

Responsibilities:

• Create a variety of video segments – from breaking news to culture, foreign to business

• Research, report, shoot, write and edit video segments

• Original enterprise reporting

• Collaborate with New York Times reporters and editors

• Coordinate with photo and graphics desk and NYTImes.com producers

Requirements:

Strong journalism background
Solid research, reporting and writing skills
Extensive experience shooting video with a DV camera
Extensive experience editing with Final Cut pro
Good lighting and audio skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a daily production environment.
Comfortable with change and willing to adapt to the constant flow of news
Good communication and personal skills
