MSNBC.com is looking for an Art Director to supervise a team of designers and artists in the creation of daily news graphics; page layouts and interfaces for special projects; and navigational elements across the website. The Art Director will coordinate project resources and timelines with section editors, multimedia editors and interactive producers. Set artistic direction, as well as review and approve design work. Update, maintain and enforce a site wide style guide.

Requires 5+ years of design management experience, 3+ years working online and 5+ years of journalism experience. Expertise in web technologies such as CSS and HTML is required. Expert-level Photoshop and Illustrator user. Advanced knowledge of Flash, animation, or 3D graphics preferred.
