The NewsChannel 5 Network seeks an experienced, creative, driven
leader for a new online entertainment project. This position involves
developing, launching and managing the new site, which will focus on
local music and regional entertainment across middle Tennessee. The
candidate who fills this wide-ranging position will play a hands-on
role in managing compelling, interactive content for this major new
destination web site. Applicant needs a minimum four (4) years
experience in systems development or similar project management
experience. Experience with leading and developing a team towards a
common goal. Web-savvy, with a working knowledge of Photoshop, Flash,
HTML, CSS, and javascript. Understanding of web authoring, content
management, and data collection tools. Working knowledge of analog
and/or digital video as well as video and audio editing software
preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing,
deadline-driven environment. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. Strong organization skills and keen attention
to detail. Familiarity with new technologies, including wireless,
podcasting and RSS. Flexibility to work as needed within site hours
of operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
