National Advertising Account Executive - West Coast

Internet Broadcasting is the largest national platform of TV station
web sites. The online news publisher produces 74 sites for America’s
premier broadcasters: NBC, Cox Broadcasting, Hearst-Argyle, The
McGraw Hill Companies, Post-Newsweek, Scripps Howard, and Capitol
Broadcasting Company.

With over 13 million monthly visitors, over 500 million monthly page
views, and the #1 TV station web site in 18 of the top 25 markets,
Internet Broadcasting is the nation’s largest online local news
publisher. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis with offices
in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

JOB SUMMARY:

Generate advertising revenue by calling on interactive and
traditional advertising agencies as well as key fortune 500 clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop and maintains relationships with all relevant contacts at
each assigned agency and client.

Create, pitch and close advertising, sponsorships and partnerships

Strong focus on client categories within key vertical markets

Provide accurate and timely answers to client queries on a daily
basis

Maintains and cultivates a high level of customer service by
answering phone calls, executing requests and proactively responding,
as appropriate.

Establishes client contacts, cold calling and working in
cross-functional teams.

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:

Strong book of preexisting relationships within the national
advertising community

Entrepreneurial and self motivating personality

Adept in organizing and prioritizing of work, and following
assignments through to completion.

Skill with data analysis and figure aptitude with a high level of
accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Strong sales presence

Ability to achieve revenue and new business goals.

Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines — sense of
urgency.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of
personalities and work styles.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years media sales experience including at least 2 years selling
on-line media.

Prior agency experience a plus.

College degree, or equivalent.
