Evening Post Publishing Company (EPPC) is launching a new media
division, Evening Post Digital, and has an opening for a Vice
President of Content and Technology. The division will work with both
newspaper and television companies owned by EPPC. A qualified
candidate will have the following competencies:

· Ability to expand new media presence in all EPPC markets.

· Ability to build online traffic for current and potential
websites.

· Ability to capitalize on emerging online growth opportunities.

· Knowledge of latest advances in digital distribution of content
and information.

· Knowledge of best practices in data collection, analysis and
research.

· Able to analyze trade-offs of internal development of new products
versus the use of third-party vendors.

· Able to recommend partnerships with leading third-party vendors
and manage those relationships.

· Able to leverage corporate resources to benefit local online
operations.

· Demonstrates tact and diplomacy in working with local online teams
and making recommendations for improvements.

· Able to encourage existing print/broadcast news teams to become
more involved with online content creation.

· Instills confidence and demonstrated credibility to the field in
pursuing new media opportunities.

Qualified candidates should have a 4 year degree in business or a
related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and
education. Candidates should have at least 5 years of new media
experience within the newspaper or broadcast industry and would be
expected to travel extensively to all EPPC locations.
