What I miss the most when I'm in the U.S. is news from Canadian channels. Whether Americans miss anything is perhaps more debatable, but I suspect many would be attracted to a news broadcast by people who look and sound a lot like they do, but who have a very different perspective on the world.

"vinny" touches on a point i've mentioned before - the opportunity for a station's web channel to offer stories in a variety of formats... a text version of a story for those wishing to read, an audio version for those too busy to read or watch at the moment (npr does a great job story-telling) and a full-fledged video version for the masses.

all done with a simple links after the headline

More international news would be nice, but I'd rather read it on the web than watch it on television. I'm really tired of soundbite television news in general no matter where the source.

It's funny how I've reverted, but as I'm getting older, I'm finding I'd much rather read news than watch it.

this holiday season i wish i could find more info on the Chapter 11 filing by the abc affiliate in buffalo, wkbw.

is this an isolated instance of poor management, or a more ominous symptom of what's to come???

coal in their stockings might actually be a good thing to get this long cold winter. ?
