Lost Remote’s not so hot design
Cory Bergman December 14th, 2006
Now, I’ve never claimed to be a web designer, but I’ve spent plent of time tweaking the newish Lost Remote design. Then I stumbed across HotorNotDesigns.com, which lets users rank web designs on various websites. A quick ego search yielded my ranking, on a scale of 1 (not so hot) to 10 (hot)…

Sigh. Here are the lists of the hottest and ugliest web designs.

Well, OK. But remember - you submitted to a site where voters have MySpace pages their friends think are really cool. It’s not the design, it’s the information.

It’s right there in the graphic: 4.4 out of 10. Just like my rating on the original Hot or Not…

If you look at the top vote getters, the rankings are pretty ridiculous. A bunch of mediocre template-based blog designs are included in the top 20.
