POSITION OBJECTIVE
CBS Television Stations Digital Media Group is looking for an
experienced Marketing Director to lead the CBS Digital programming
efforts to drive traffic and revenue to its network of web sites and
wireless products. The candidate will work very closely with the
local and national editorial, business development and sales teams as
well as directly with the television station TV promotional groups to
accomplish targeted marketing goals. This newly-created position
will report to the Vice President, Product Management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Developing and executing an online customer acquisition plan
designed to maximize site traffic.
Monitor and advise strategic approaches to online media
marketing, keyword purchasing, CBS station on air promotion and
integration with broadband campaigns to meet business performance
objectives.
Developing product rollout plans to communicate new product
launches to local editorial, local sales, advertisers and consumers.
Executing effective marketing programs/publisher management
activities to achieve business development goals.
Tracking and measure online advertising programs; designing test
strategies and creative to optimize results
Maximizing paid/natural search traffic, while meeting cost per
acquisition targets.
Ensuring effective creative development and execution to support
program and media efforts.
Coordinating all public relations efforts for both consumer and
trade publications.
Securing speaking opportunities and sponsorships at trade
events.
Developing and maintaining value-based positioning and
marketing.
Budget development and management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
BA or BS in a related field; MBA preferred
3-5 years online consumer marketing experience
Self-starter able to drive initiatives forward and work well
under pressure
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Deep understanding of consumer facing online experiences
Excellent portfolio of work and evidence of depth of knowledge in
interactive marketing
Preferred – Television experience; has in-depth knowledge of
television commercial production
Driven by an inherent understanding of where the digital media
market is going but possessing an open and flexible mindset as to how
CBS Television Stations will capture the opportunity
Strong process orientation and execution skills
Developed communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker and problem solver who has a collaborative
management style
Proactive by nature, can do nature and winning attitude
Success, metric and data driven
EDUCATION
College Degree B.S./B.A. required. Post graduate degree preferred.
