Web Programmer- Minneapolis
JOB SUMMARY:
These positions are responsible for coding in the display level on
our client web sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the production and maintenance of client web sites
using XSL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and a proprietary content management
system.
Develop innovative, low-cost, and low-maintenance solutions for our
customers.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
REQUIRED:
Advanced skills in JavaScript, HTML, XSL, and CSS (3+ years).
Proficiency and knowledge of web development, design technologies (2+
years).
Must be proficient with web usability and navigation standards,
including web browser features and limitations.
BS/MS-level degree or corresponding education/knowledge/relevant work
experience in software design.
Understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts.
Understanding of XML/XSL and related technologies (XPATH, Schemas,
etc) a plus.
Experience with media players including streaming media, flash, and
embeddable applications.
Experience in designing and maintaining web-based Flash applications
a plus.
Unix command-line experiences a plus.
Capable of operating effectively with a team in a highly dynamic,
deadline-driven software development environment.
Able to learn proprietary applications to complete tasks.
Must have good communication skills with the ability to articulate
programming concepts to a variety of audiences and interact with
other departments to complete projects on time.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Job requires working on a personal computer an average of 7 hours per
day.
Job requires frequent communication in person, via telephone and
e-mail.
Job requires ability to work occasionally on evenings and weekends to
meet aggressive deadlines.
