Please define time-shifted t.v. shows. If it is what I assume it is then how does that get measured? (confused beginner media student)

You need to remove the online ad spend figures, or at least heavily qualify them. GUS spent $659m in 2006 on online advertising? Really? Do you think so?

AdRelevance works by spotting banner ads, and then estimating how many impressions those banners had. BUT it then assumes that cpm is the only buying model - the advertiser pays every time someone sees their ad - and assigns a standard cpm to those ads. So companies that (presumably) buy exclusively on cpc or cpa appear to spend hundreds of millions on online advertising. Which I doubt.

Some interesting lists here. Obviously, as the post's title suggests, the most popular time-shifted shows list is instructive. I was also intrigued to note the distinctions betewen the companies that advertise in "traditional" media as compared to online media.

The list of shows that feature product placement probably isn't much of a surprise. Reality TV is basically non-stop product placement, but I was intrigued to see some of the worst offenders when it came to product placement. How did the Chicago Bears (as opposed to teh NFL itself) make the Top Ten?
