Geraldo canceled, TMZ.com may get its own TV show

Warner Bros. has been shopping a new syndicated TV show based on TMZ.com, the AOL affiliated celebrity website that was an outgrowth of Celebrity Justice. Now that Fox has canceled Geraldo at Large (a weekend version of the show will air on Fox News Channel), Warner Bros. may gain an opening for the new TMZ.com show. TMZ.com, a video-heavy blog with a growing staff of videographers, has grown by leaps and bounds, thanks in part to big gets like the Mel Gibson tirade.

The Mel Gibson get was good and if they weren’t the ones with the actual video, they did do a lot to help Michael Richards fatally injure his career; But as for the funny, I’m kind of partial to the whole drunken firecrotch rant, myself. (click my name for text and video)

IB has a facebook and myspace page?
what about a YOUTUBE id??? (or 74 of them?)

speaking of IB and differentiating your tv and web channels:
a tip of the hat to the fine folks at thepittsburghchannel/wtae. i noticed last night and it was there again this morning; a skybox selling themselves as two distinct properties.
while an argument can be made that prime spot should be sold to a paying customer, it’s the underlying page that kind of spells it out.
no mention there of “value-added” either.

I loved the Geraldo show and watched him every day. I think fox 5 is making a mistake.

Geraldo!, The world needs you, get a pulpit where you can continue speaking the truth. Don’t let the GREEDY PIGS censur you. Tell the truth, do it for your children and the billions of people that do not deserve to be fried in this 3rd world war that will soon be out of control. YOU were right ” Israel has to get out of Palestine” STOP the KILLING over GREED. NO MORE U.S. TAX MONEY, or TROOPS, or WEAPONS to the MIDDLE EAST. PLEASE!
