Tribune Interactive is looking for a Video Producer/Coordinator to
help increase the quantity and quality of news and feature video
available on TI’s network of sites and enhance the video and
multimedia experience for our online users. This is a new position
that is based in Chicago and reports to the Shared Content video
project manager. This person will use editorial judgment to gather,
select, distribute and edit video clips from Tribune and its
partners, including CNN; coordinate live stream coverage of breaking
and scheduled news events; and manage and coordinate various video
content projects and schedules, including integration of video from
third-parties, services, and sites. The producer/coordinator will
also edit and proof the content, manage digital rights issues, and
communicate content availability to our market customers. This person
will work closely with colleagues on the Shared Content and Shared
Broadcast teams. The position may include occasional travel and
requires flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or related discipline.

·A journalism background in broadcast or print photography preferred
(minimum 2 years, preferably 1 year online).

·Excellent written and verbal English-language communications
skills.

·Demonstrable editorial experience with news video production,
including highly developed shooting, editing and production skills
preferred, but not required (consumer-focused or journalism).

·Be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and be
expected to manage and report on multiple projects.

·Knowledge of Tribune Interactive and WorldNow’s content
management systems is a plus.

·Experience with HTML and broader video production tools are a plus.
