Are you a meteorologist who thrives on weather in the digital space?
This new job includes overseeing weather projects on the web, mobile
and the digital multi-channel universe. The Weather Digital Producer
will coordinate weather enhancements on the digital platforms for
Hearst-Argyle Television. This includes overseeing development of
new weather functionality on the web and other digital devices and
working with HTV station weather staffs in achieving maximum benefit
from improvements that enhance the user experience. Providing
digital direction, support and guidance during severe weather events
with particular emphasis on live information is a key function. The
ideal candidate is an AMS meteorologist with at least five years
experience. Broadcast meteorology experience is highly preferred.
Demonstrated work in the digital space is also highly preferred. Key
attributes for the job include a strong collaborative and
communication style, flexibility on schedule due to the uncertain
timing of weather events, and a strong understanding of weather and
digital technology. There is some flexibility in job location as
long as it is in a Hearst-Argyle city with significant weather
events. Please e-mail your resume to jnatz@hearst.com. No phone
