WHAT A RIDICULOUS PROGRAM ON 9/11. IT WAS CERTAINLY NO A CONVERSATION, JUDY AND RICHARD, IT WAS MERELY ANOTHER LIBERAL MEDIAL PLATFORM FOR BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA JR. FIRST OF ALL, MR OBAMA LISTENED TO ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS PRESENTED TO SENATOR MCCAIN WHICH WE THOUGHT WAS INTERESTING. AND THEN YOU SEEMED TO HAVE AN AIR OF AWE OF HIM, JUDY AND RICHARD........ HE LOVES TO TALK AND TALK AND TALK SAYING LITTLE OR SAYING WHAT HE THINKS WILL GET HIM ELECTED. IT WAS NOT THE KIND OF PROGRAM WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE AND ARE SORRY WE TUNED IN TO WATCH THE PROGRAM WHICH WAS HELD IN MR. OBAMA'S BACK YARD. AND WE ARE SENIORS AND WILL VOTE FOR JOHN SIDNEY MCCAIN 111.

I just watched you asking questions of senator McKain and waiting for his views on social security, you never asked. I was hoping you might ask him why he used the words and I quote "Young people paying SS taxes is a disgrace" I am 74 and on SS but I still work and pay SS taxes, in fact I pay more in SS taxes than I do in income taxes. He sounds like Rush Limbaugh when that halfwit degrades people like me who have worked and paid for over 50 years. McKain lost my vote when he , in his own way, degraded me and why any senior would vote for him baffles me

This is for Judy Woodruff: It's a little tardy, but when I saw the recent report on Artie Bremmer, the shooter of Gov. George Wallace of Alabama, when he was running for president in 1972, I believe, I recalled having breakfast with Judy Woodruff, probably almost four years later when Wallace was running again from a wheelchair. The incident I recall..was in Madison , Wi, when protesters mocked Wallace at his luncheon apperance by wearing Bremer masks and romping through the room. I was covering Wallace for a few days for my paper, The Milwaukee Sentinel, and we bannered the story... The next morning, we were in Janesville, WI, having breakfast and Judy broached the subject of how come none of the networks touched the Bremer mask story, but we locals played it big. She was correc,t, of course....it was a story.. David Dick was there for CBS and he told us he didn't even offer it for a story. Now wonder...I think Judy was symphthetic to our play and I've long wondered what she did with it, for PBS, I believe, at that time??. Anyway, 30 years later, I still admire her work....and her longevity. Regads from an old newshound. Neil Shively, in Cambridge,, WI

Very happy to see her back and the quality and seriousness that come along with her. She is one of those rare people that oozes integrity and pours it into everything that she does. Hey, you only get one shot at it and it is not all about the money. Good for her for coming back to a show where the emphasis is on quality and integrity.

She had way to much journalistic integrity, and talent, to be wasted on the increasingly fox-like CNN. I only hope she's willing to fill the gap whenever Jim Lehrer finally leaves. So, if anyone reads this AND happens to be a friend of hers, tell her she's got a devoted following grateful that she's back on PBS -- a following of one anyway.

madame woodruff is like meredith viera (i probably spelled that wrong); the two are almost ageless. they are special in that their looks can appeal to a very wide audience of both men and women.

as opposed to baabwa. who looks as old as she is...no matter how much makeup they toss on her.
