Veoh partners with Us Weekly

Veoh has created a video channel for UsMagazine.com, bringing a new entertainment video competitor to the web that’s currently dominated by TMZ.com. Veoh has been busy — last week the video site inked a deal with Hollywood agency United Talent to showcase the agency’s internet-discovered talent. Press release on the Us Weekly deal…

PRESS RELEASE — Wenner Media and Veoh Networks (www.veoh.com), the leading innovator in Internet Television, today announced that Usmagazine.com has partnered with Veoh, to create a branded entertainment channel on the Veoh web site. The channel, launching in February, will be the exclusive Celebrity Channel on Veoh and can be accessed through Usmagazine.com or Veoh.com.

Us will produce exclusive video content for this site, pulled from celebrity studded parties, Us Weekly events, news stories and features by Us editorial staffers. Veoh will provide the video backbone for Usmagazine.com using its peer-to-peer network which allows viewers to seamlessly view broadcast-quality long and short form videos. Users are invited to submit their own videos to Usmagazine.com for coverage on the Web site and the Celebrity Channel on Veoh utilizing Veoh’s easy-to-use video publishing tools.
