When I was at KFOR in Oklahoma City we covered a murder trial where the suspect had recently been featured on America’s Most Wanted by blogging from the courtroom using a cell phone connection and a laptop. LR even did a piece on us. That was the first time anyone had covered a trial in that manner.

That seems pretty major to me, but if you aren’t convinced of that, the newspaper in Norfolk, Va. covered the sniper trial a few months later in the same manner.
