Gather news and information via news wires, news feeds, telephone and
interviews; write stories for broadcast under deadline for FOX5
Morning News and Good Day Atlanta or as otherwise assigned; produce
and coordinate interviews, videotape story elements and reporter
voice tracks fed from the field via remote truck and/or satellite;
produce and coordinate reporter live shots and live talk-back
interviews. Candidates must demonstrate skill in writing
conversational broadcast copy incorporating appropriate visual
elements under daily deadline pressure. Above average typing skills,
proficiency in English grammar, spelling and punctuation and the
ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the public are
all essential. At least one year’s experience in the news department
of a commercial television station is required.
