Photographer/Editor (Beaverton)

Position Summary: Responsible for capturing the visuals of stories for MVS content and programming as well as editing tape at the highest professional quality. Effectively utilize existing technology to enhance story coverage. Responsible for editing video tape for additional programs and some special projects.

Minimum Qualifications
All qualifications must be met, to be considered.

Education: College degree in Broadcasting or Journalism preferred. Minimum of high school diploma or GED.

Experience: Minimum of three years experience in television news, cable network, or production house photography. Must have non linear editing experience.

Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of news gathering equipment and techniques. Experience on current ENG camera, lights, and video editing. Knowledge of current state of the art editing equipment. Avid Newscutter experience required. Experience on Sony Beta Decks, DVC Pro Laptop, Avid and working knowledge of analog and digital editing.

Skills and abilities: Individual should possess a good sense of timing and pace. Must be able to shoot and edit with speed, efficiency and creativity. Must have god organizational skills and attention to detail. A valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Able to carry equipment weighting a minimum of 40 lbs. for prolonged periods of time. Willing to work various shifts as assigned. Possess good storytelling and communication skills.
