How are you taking it seriously, by causing <b>"widespread panic and destruction." </b> (reporter question at news conference with Sean Stevens and Peter Berdovsky)

<i>"Level 3, beware the Gorgarton. He's in love. "

"Shoot him in the head!"

"Head shot, rampage, killing spree!"

"You have mastered Moon Master, you are the Moon Master!"

"No f--king way!"

"Yes way Err." </i> (Aqua Teen Hunger Force -- Moon Master)

I always knew that Err was a terrorist. As soon as all those Bostonians saw him flipping them off, they immediately came to the same realization.

Once again George W. Bush has saved us all from the evils of 80s era video game characters. Thank heaven for God Emperor Bush and the paranoia he has brought to this great country.

I don't believe we have heard the end of this story by a long shot. My predicitions: Heads will roll at Turner. Turner will quickly stifle those two "artisits" so their comments quit turning up in media stories. Turner will quickly, and as quietly as possible, pay determined fines to Boston in hopes of making this go away. Other municipalities, seeing easy corporate money, will ask for their share. There will be questions as to why there was so little communication between officials in different states regarding this little stunt. Many will point out, as is happening today, that details of this stunt were all over the internet, making Boston officials look digitally handicaped. And once again, the power of these evolving communities called the internet will again be reinforced.

The response of Boston is simply over-the-top where pragmatic investigation is tossed-aside for an opportunity to try out the latest tools in anti-terrorism and bomb defusing.

Certainly, terrorism jitters on the east coast are high. But I can't help but imagine that law enforcement likes shutting down roads and interrupting the lives of the citizens just "because they can". And even if that isn't true and all the precautions are fully warranted, someone among law enforcement, looking through the monitor of their $10 million anti-terrorism robot and the x-ray analysis, should have consulted a 10th grade electronics class student to tell them what they had found.

Nevertheless, Turner Networks needs a slap upside the head for not anticipating the ridiculous War of the Worlds response these things could have caused.

In addition to The Daily Show, I'm also curious to see this event get the South Park treatment. Seems like the kind of fodder Matt and Trey would love.

Looking forward to the Daily Show treatment of this one. Don't think we've had this much comedy potential since Dick Cheney hoisted a shotgun to his shoulder.

Good work, Steve and congratulations to Lost Remote.

Not only have you had terrific reporting, but I know that I just referenced you, so your Technorati ratings will probably shoot through the roof. (If they are finally able to solve the problem that has been plaguing them off and on for the past several hours and which I assume is right now, the reason they're down again)

Good job, fellows and I hope you had fun.
