The successful candidate will be responsible for taking structured
business requirements and using our API, developing new web video
portals for handoff to QA and assisting in their maintenance once
developed.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Review requirements documentation and give estimates of time to
complete

• Use ROO’s proprietary API to build video players into client
websites

• Apply JavaScripting and HTML scripting where required to make the
video players functional and meet the documented requirements

• Review all work and complete a handover checklist before passing
pages to QA

• Undertake troubleshooting work on existing players to identify
root causes, develop solutions and implement approved corrective
action.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to very
demanding deadlines

• Highly detail oriented with the ability to work logically through
issues

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Highly self motivated with the ability to work both with minimal
supervision and as a member of a team

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology
or other related field is preferred/relevant experience taken into
consideration

• A basic knowledge of JavaScript is required

• A sound knowledge of HTML is required

• An understanding ASP.Net is a plus

• Past exposure to XML is a plus

• An understanding of Macromedia Flash is a plus

• HTML and JavaScript knowledge/experience with cross-browser,
cross-platform preferred

• Exposure to Content Management Systems is preferred

• Photoshop experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Digital Video and Formats (Windows, Flash, Quicktime
and Real)
