This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of interactive
media and television. As an engineer building this exciting new
media platform, you will help invent and deliver a service that will
touch millions of people around the world. You will join a talented
team of software, Web and media veterans from companies such as
Allaire, ATG, Comcast, Macromedia, Lycos and News Corp., led by the
company’s founder and Internet pioneer Jeremy Allaire.
Responsibilities:
• Participate actively in software design discussions.
• Writing code that is both functional and elegant.
• Implement complex multithreaded transactional systems.
• Design and implement unit tests.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
Qualifications:
• MS/BS in Computer Science or related background preferred,
experience with the full development process a must
• Demonstrated technical leadership in previous consumer-facing
projects
• 3 – 5+ years of development experience
• Experience building scalable Web applications and consumer online
services.
• Relational database design/development skills
• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, Analysis, and
Programming.
• Experience with secure online transactions, payment and billing
systems
• A passion to learn the latest technologies
• Experience with n-tier application development (J2EE, .Net, C#)
• In-depth knowledge of JDBC/SQL.
• Proficient in XML, Web Services, unit testing frameworks.
• Must be able to adapt to rapid changing technology
• Advanced programming techniques
• Excellent technical communication skills in both written and
spoken English.
• Experience with Hibernate/Oracle/MySQL is a plus
• Experience with Macromedia Flex/Flash a plus.
